Eclipse Corporation and BCC Software Enable Streamlined Workflow for Automated Postal Presort
“This important partnership shows yet another way to streamline the direct communication workflow by integrating technology assets,” said Chris Lien, President of BCC Software. “BCC Software and Eclipse represent over 50 years of combined experience in the print and mail industry. That depth of knowledge provides our customers an unmatched know-how when it comes to managing enterprise name and address data used for producing and mailing documents.”
BCC Software users will find benefit using DocOrigin because the tool is highly effective at sorting large batch files into a specific sequence and generating 2D barcode or OMR code to instruct insertion devices to properly insert the correct pages and burst the batch into sub-batches for supporting multiple inserters.
“Postal codes and routes change frequently and most customers cannot possibly keep up with these changes,” says Eclipse CEO Steve Luke. “This is where the features of DocOrigin and BCC combine to make a powerful and high value solution for customers by bridging the gap between document generation and postal presort. DocOrigin extracts the raw address information, BCC cleanses and prepares the data, and then DocOrigin generates the documents and sorts the batch in the exact sequence needed to receive the maximum savings on postage and mail handling.”
BCC Software is paving the way in the postal presort industry for award winning and best-in-class software that works seamlessly with like-minded partner technology and hardware. Launched in June, the Integratec API Platform is the only available PAVE certified API using the secure messaging layer, ZeroMQ™ with the CurveZMQ protocol. This enables Integratec to pass even the most stringent security requirements for mailers in industries like healthcare and finance.
“We are excited about this new ‘professional handshake’ with Eclipse,” says Shawn Ryan, Vice President of Product Strategy at BCC Software. “And companies will certainly find tremendous value by automating the ‘handshake’ between document generation and mail presort. The value is in integrating the two together to optimize workflow — extracting the names and addresses for these composed documents and feeding them automatically to our software.”
Both companies are working to remove the gaps in document production workflow that can cause inefficiencies and added cost. According to Luke, customers of Eclipse Corporation and BCC Software will find added advantage because of this commitment to cross-platform workflow optimization. “We’re opening the door for customers that are using both pieces of software to have a workflow customized exactly to what they need to not only maximize their postal discounts but be the most efficient and automated they can be getting there.”
